dogs and their people is our top priority!
Turn your dog’s natural instincts into skill and teamwork.
Scent detection is one of the most rewarding activities you can do with your dog. Through systematic training, dogs learn to identify specific odors (SDDA essential oils) and communicate their finds — building confidence, problem-solving, and focus.
Ideal for:
· High-drive dogs who love to work
· Reactive or easily overstimulated dogs needing a calm outlet
· Handlers seeking a mentally engaging, low-impact activity
Adventure, teamwork, and purpose — one scent trail at a time.
Trailing channels your dog’s natural scenting abilities into focused, real-world skills. You’ll learn to read your dog’s signals, improve your handling technique, and build trust through shared exploration.
Perfect for:
· Handlers who enjoy outdoor training & teamwork
· Dogs who need confidence-building
· Teams exploring search and rescue foundations or recreational trailing
Knowledge that saves lives. Confidence that makes a difference.
Accidents can happen, but with our pet first aid training, you'll be prepared to handle any emergency situation.
Our Canine Health Canada–certified first aid courses give dog owners, trainers, and professionals the tools to respond effectively in emergencies. Learn how to manage injuries, assess vital signs, and prepare for unexpected situations at home or in the field.
Courses include hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises, and certification upon completion.

At Outer Bounds K9, we help dogs and their people build strong, confident partnerships — the kind that come from working and learning together as a team.
Whether you’re interested in scent detection for sport, learning to trail, or gaining essential canine first aid skills, our programs are designed to challenge, engage, and inspire.
We believe great training is more than obedience — it’s about connection, communication, and confidence. Every session is carefully structured to bring out the best in both dog and handler, creating teams that work with focus, trust, and joy.
Our training is also especially well-suited for reactive or sensitive dogs who may find busy group classes overwhelming. Scent-based and trailing activities offer dogs a focussed, purposeful outlet that builds confidence and strengthens the bond with their handler — all while having fun and learning new skills together.
